Core Tongits Rules Explained Simply
• Goal: Empty your hand of cards by forming melds (Sets of 3+ matching cards, or Sequences of 3+ cards of the same suit), or hold the lowest total card points when the deck runs out.
• Calling 'Fight': If you believe your remaining card points are lower than your opponents' and you have melded at least one card, you can challenge the table by calling 'Fight'.
• Calling 'Tongits': If you meld or lay off all remaining cards in your hand, you instantly declare 'Tongits' and win the round with bonus pot payouts!
• Sunog (Burned): If a player fails to lay down at least one meld before the deck ends or before another player calls Tongits, they are burned and pay maximum penalties.
